Dear Parents,

Congratulations, your son/daughter has been selected to represent AIS for Feeding Frenzy 2018 hosted by Bangkok Patana School, Thailand. We look forward to working with the AIS athletes over the next few months as we strive to put forward a strong and cohesive team. 

Please look through the "Feeding Frenzy" page below for the team lists. Please ensure to read through all the information stated below. 

If your child is in Year 3, it is crucial for you to read the "Year 3 Students" page. 

If your child is in Year 4, it is crucial for you to read the "Year 4 Students" page.

All students involved in Feeding Frenzy are expected to travel in the AIS Sharks T-shirt. 

Please note that coaches have selected the final teams based on the selection criteria below:

  • Expression of interest
  • Swimmers Year 5 and above must travel together with the team from Thursday 6 December
  • Contributions to respective sports
  • Character, attitude, social and emotional maturity 
  • Skill level

Cost: $1350 (includes all land and air transport, meals, travel insurance, accommodation and tournament entry fee)

Age-Eligibility

Students will have to meet at least one of these requirements to be eligible for the tour:

  • enrolled in our competitive squads (Reef, Hammerheads or Tigers & Great White Sharks only)
  • Swimmers in Year 5 and above are eligible to travel on their own with the team (unless special circumstances arise)
  • Swimmers in Year 4 have two options to choose from for this meet. Please click below link
  • Swimmers in Year 3 must be 9 years of age on the 1st day of the meet (7th December 2018) and must be accompanied by a parent at all times (Accompanying parents are to arrange their own accommodation, transportation, flights, nutrition, travel insurance etc)

Whilst the school has approved this tournament, it is the student’s and parent’s decision to participate. There will be two school days missed during term 4. Students and parents must decide what is best for their child. We also ask that you consider your commitments to other AIS related activities.
