SEASAC Swimming Junior  Championships 

General Policy

  • The meet will be conducted in accordance with SEASAC rules and regulations.
  • The meet will be conducted in accordance with FINA rules and regulation
  • The minimum number for full SEASAC participation points is 4 girls and 4 boys
  • Electronic timing will be used for the meet, along with TSA officials
  • The meet will be run in SCM (25m) format
  • The meet will be run as a Timed Finals meet
  • Results will be available via Meet Mobile throughout the meet and provided to the Head Coach of each Team following the meet
  • All Athletes, Coaches and Parents/Supporters attending and participating in the Championships will abide by the SEASAC Code(s) of Conduct. Click HERE to view the Code(s) of Conduct
  • Points will be awarded as follows: Individual Events 1st – 10th (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)/Relay Events 1st – 10th (24, 20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2)

Age Groups & Entry Limits

  • Maximum squad size is 20 swimmers,
  • Each team can enter 5 swimmers maximum per age group and gender.
  • The age groups are 11-12 yrs and 13 - 14yrs.
  • Students are required to be a minimum of 11 years old, if they are still in Primary/Elementary school are not encouraged to attend this meet as it is not developmentally appropriate to do so. There is no penalty for not fielding a full team (other than your own capacity to score points).
  • Age as at the first day of the Senior Meet to ensure students don’t “age -up” between the meets and to ensure continuity in their swimming journey from Jnr to Snr.
  • Swimmers must stay in the same age division for the duration of the competition. Relays included.
  • Swimmers are limited to 6 individual events and 6 relays.
  • Schools are permitted to enter any number of swimmers into the same event, providing the individuals do not exceed their maximum.
  • Events 200m and longer will be swum as combined age group events, with the results aged out.

Awards & Medals

Medals will be awarded in Individual and Relay events for 1st to 3rd places

Awards will be presented to the top point scoring team in each age group and gender

Trophies for swim meet will include:

    • Overall boys team,
    • Overall girls team,
    • Top 3 age group team winners boys
    • Top 3 age group team winner girls
    • Top 3 point-scorer in each age group for boys and girls.
    • Certificates will be given to new record holders

              Parent Volunteer Opportunities

              There are always opportunities for parents to get involved in helping the Rep Team. We will be calling on parents from time to time to assist us where required. We are fortunate to have great parents always willing to help where they can and we thank you in advance for your support.
